FIWC 2008 Report25.Aug.07

 Sony’s executive president David Reeves and EA’s Fifa executive producer announced some details about the upcoming FIWC for 2008 at the German games convention.

The tournament will start in October of this year and will continue up until May of 2008. 32 spots will be  granted with the PS3 console at the online servers, and players will also be able to compete at all of the offline events to be taken place within this same date range. The finals will be in Berlin in May of 2008. 20,000 USD will be payed to the winner, and a Gala event will also take place at this time.

It is expected that much more competition will be exerted this year as last year over 5,000 players competed using the XBOX version.
